3. Jake Roberts vs. Rick Rude Is Only Time Limit Draw In 'Mania History

The obvious elephant in the room with this entry is the fact that the 'Iron Man' encounter between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XII technically went to a 'draw', before the bout was restarted and Michaels won in overtime. However, whilst there was a tie aspect to that match, there was also a final conclusion and a clear victor, something which cannot be said of Jake 'The Snake' Roberts vs. 'Ravishing' Rick Rude from 'Mania IV.

Taking place as a first round match in the 14-man tournament to crown a brand new WWF Heavyweight Champion, Roberts vs. Rude went the distance, clocking in at 15 minutes in length. Thus, the action was halted, and both men were eliminated from the competition by virtue of the fact they had drawn a blank.

As a result, the match is the only match in WWF/WWE WrestleMania history to not have a definitive result or finish favouring one of the competitors. Nothing like this has ever happened again, but the company could admittedly get away with it under the guise of a tournament. Unfortunately, the event was largely dreary, and the match wasn't quite as dramatic as it sounds, but it still has historical significance.
