It's been said that the McMahon family are so hands on when it comes to WWE merchandise, that their individual fingerprints can be traced on every item the company produces. Obviously, this is far from true, but the most powerful family in the pro wrestling industry did leave their mark where it mattered most, on the WWE Heavyweight Title belt.

On one of the old variations of the title, the McMahon family crest and motto, 'Sic nos sic sacra tuemur' was printed on one of the belt's side plates. Directly translating from Latin to English as, 'Thus we guard our sacred rights', the motto also adorned a version of the title in 1998.

It's fascinating to think that Vince McMahon requested this go on the title, because it looks oddly out of place on the physical belt itself. The white badge and red lions don't exactly fit in with the black leather and golden colour of the plates, but it nonetheless went unnoticed by many fans, with only a few eagle-eyed enthusiasts spotting the addition.
