‘The Freak’ Lars Sullivan’s WWE run was a controversial and troublesome one, especially after he made his main roster debut on Raw in 2019. But there was a time when Lars was just a devoted wrestling fan, where he chose Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman vs. The Dudley Boyz over love.

WWE Magazine in 2009 published a letter from Lars under his real name Dylan Miley that described how he abandoned his girlfriend to attend ECW One Night Stand (2005) at the Hammerstein Ballroom. It was titled “MY GIRLFRIEND DUMPED ME BECAUSE I LOVE WWE.”

He wrote “I was the high school football jock and she was the very sexy, 5’4, 120-pound cheerleader. The only thing that tore us apart was my obsession with wrestling and her dislike of big, oily men smashing each other with steel chairs.”

Lars ended the letter saying how he tried patching things up with his ex by gifting her an ECW shirt from the show to no luck. Who knew Lars Sullivan was such a romantic at heart? You would never have guessed when he was destroying Shorty G on SmackDown.
