10 Strangest Ever WWE Royal Rumble Entrants

2. Three Faces Of Foley - 1998

It's not uncommon for a wrestler to take on more than one persona over the course of the career; however, it's very uncommon for a wrestler to adopt three different personalities in the very same match. Then again, Mick Foley is a rare bird €” and just the sort of wrestler who is so beloved by fans that taking up three spots in the Rumble isn't overkill. Foley kicked off the Rumble match, entering first while his longtime friend and rival Chainsaw Charlie (A.K.A. Terry Funk) took the second spot. Wrestling as Cactus Jack, he was dumped over the top rope by Charlie after about ten minutes €” only to reemerge as Mankind and return the favor shortly afterwards. However, Mankind's victory would be shortlived, as he himself would be eliminated by Goldust after just a couple of minutes in the match.
All seemed lost for Foley's legions of fans €” that is, until Dude Love's music played to announce him as the 28th entrant into the match. However, he'd be eliminated once again by Faarooq after just short of eight minutes.
It would certainly have been interesting to see one of the Faces of Foley win the match outright; is entering more than once within the rules of the Royal Rumble? Perhaps we could see Cody Rhodes try a similar trick in 2015?
