Usually, a Royal Rumble entrant would be classed as strange if fans had no idea the competitor would be making an appearance however, The Godfather's entry into the 2013 Rumble match was bizarre simply because a certain Bad News Barrett had been teasing it for so long, For years, Barrett had tweeted hints in the weeks leading up to the pay-per-view that Papa Shango another persona of The Godfather would be appearing in the match. It was, of course, untrue; Barrett was simply teasing fans who look for every possible hint of a Rumble return as the event draws near. The same scene unfolded in 2013 but, to everyone's surprise, The Godfather did make an appearance on the night. Admittedly, with five seconds in the ring it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance, but Barrett's hints had finally yielded results. Typically it would be strange to see a Superstar make their return because it's unexpected here, it had been expected for so long that few believed it would actually happen.
