10 Strangest Places Wrestling Attires Ended Up

6. Steve Austin’s Boots - Jim Ross

If he wanted to, Jim Ross could go into his wardrobe, lace up Steve Austin's boots, chuck on that classic theme via YouTube and march around his house pretending to be 'Stone Cold'. He wouldn't, probably, but the option is there. Not many people could say the same thing.

Then again, not many people have the last pair of wrestling boots Austin ever wrestled in.

JR has spoken on his podcast before about the time Steve gifted those working boots to him after WrestleMania XIX. That was touching to Jim, because he knew that Austin hadn't wanted to retire in the first place - so, he rightly reasoned, his friend would surely want to keep hold of a little memento from his last hurrah.

Austin thought Ross should have them instead. This symbolic present, Jim thinks, was Steve's way of thanking the announcer for his friendship and for enhancing his 'Mania matches over the years. There's something really cool about that.
