10 Strangest Ways Wrestlers Were Written Off TV
2. Mr. Kennedy Impersonates A McMahon
After returning to WWE programming post-fake death, Vince McMahon felt his product needed a fresh injection of nutty soap opera drama. So, it wasn't long before it was revealed the WWE Chairman had an illegitimate son he wasn't aware of, who just so happened to be a WWE Superstar.
What are the chances?!
It later came to light that the illegitimate son twist would have come into play during the original 'death of Mr. McMahon' storyline, but due to the sudden change in circumstances WWE were forced to make this the main focus of the programme.
What didn't change, however, was the idea that Mr. Kennedy would be revealed as McMahon's bastard son. Well, that was until the star was suspended for 30 days after being revealed as one of the names involved in the infamous 2007 steroid scandal.
Kennedy had tried to convince McMahon that he was in fact his long lost son on the 3 September episode of Raw, but this was proved not to be the case before the end of the show. Then, in order to completely write Kennedy out of the picture, the WWE Chairman announced the following week that Kennedy had been suspended for "impersonating a McMahon".
Good thing the boss doesn't watch the Firefly Funhouse then...
