10 Strangest WWE Extreme Rules Stipulations

2. Handicap Hog Pen Match (2009)

Vickie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero vs. Santina Marella There are some matches you just can€™t make up, and this might be the crown jewel of head-shaking-with-disbelief matches. It€™s one thing to have a hog pen match €“ which is not wholly unprecedented in professional wrestling. But this particular match carries the distinction of being turned into a handicap match, as Vickie Guerrero was the Raw GM at the time and added her nephew Chavo to the bout, and was contested for the Miss WrestleMania crown, which €œSantina€ Marella originally won. Sounds like a winner, doesn€™t it? A match fought for a fake pageant title originally won by a guy in drag. In a hog pen. On PPV. Let that sink in for a second. The €œmatch€ was mercifully brief and featured Chavo flopping around in the mud and rubbing Marella€™s face in the filth. Naturally, Vickie got slopped and pinned, giving Santina the fake crown back. Announcers Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler of course laughed like it was the funniest thing they had ever seen. Probably the only redeeming thing about this match was Santina using Billy & Chuck€™s old theme music. Otherwise, this match should be scrubbed from the public conscience.
