10 Strangest WWE Merchandise Items People Actually Bought
8. WWE Crush Hour
The core premise of Crush Hour is that Vince McMahon has taken over the entire television industry and thus has to find new shows for his WWE Superstars. Like a wet dream pre-cursor to the WWE Network, the video game sees everything from a Kane cooking show, a WWE version of Survivor and vehicular combat.
The Twisted Metal-style car warfare is the main hook here, and it's hard not to admit that the game is pretty fun once the initial shock of seeing Trish Stratus blow up The Undertaker with 'Twisty Rockets' wears off. Still, it's a mighty weird concept for a WWE video game.
Crush Hour was only ever going to catch the eye of wrestling fans, people who would then be disappointed that it technically wasn't a wrestling game. Non-WWE enthusiasts wouldn't be grabbed by it at all, because why would they want to see William Regal shooting bullets at Chris Benoit while Jim Ross calls the action?
At least Crush Hour was better than WCW Backstage Assault.
