Crime: Jumping ship to WCW.

Time Served: 20 years.

Randy Savage's WWE career came to a sad end in 1994. Relegated to a commentary role when Vince McMahon decided he didn't want 'Macho Man' wrestling anymore, his departure was confirmed on the 7 November episode of Raw. The Chairman announced that Savage had left his employ upon his contract's expiration, thanked him for his contributions, and wished him good luck, not knowing what was next.

Unfortunately for Vince, Savage inked a big-money contract with WCW and debuted just a few weeks later. He'd then continue his in-ring career with Ted Turner's organisation, without truly retiring until 2005, having worked for well over a decade longer than would've been possible had Vince had his way.

Savage immediately landed on the Chairman's blacklist. The story goes that McMahon considered Randy a WWE loyalist, and felt personally hurt when 'Macho' jumped ship to his biggest competitors. What's worse is that they were never able to patch it up prior to Savage's 2011 death, and Randy's name continued to go unmentioned all the way up to 2014, when WWE produced a documentary on his career. One year later, he was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame.
