4. Neville

Until about six months ago, Neville’s name would have featured highly on a list of WWE’s worst booked wrestlers. Barely featuring throughout 2016, he’d regularly miss weeks of television at a time, and was a million miles away from where he is today. Entering the Cruiserweight division and turning heel has completely revitalised him, however, and now, Neville is the undisputed ace of 205 Live.

His feud with Austin Aries has been fantastic, and while their DQ finish at Payback left a foul taste in many fans’ mouths, it at least plays to Neville’s character. Becoming a villain has unlocked vaults of charisma that seemed non-existent before, and the ‘King of the Cruiserweights’ gimmick is paying huge dividends. Finally, Neville is playing a prominent main roster role, and the fans are reacting accordingly.

Payback was Neville’s first singles loss since October, and while most of his best work takes place on a show with a limited audience, his push can’t be denied. He’s not just 205 Live’s strongest booked wrestler, but one of the company’s as a whole, and he’s showing no sign of slowing down either.
