10 Stunning Incidents Which Led To Wrestlers Being Fined

10. Andre Loses His Cool With Cameraman

Andre The Giant Roberto Duran It's been said that there will never be another quite like the iconic Andre The Giant, and it's hard to argue with the fact that the man was one of a kind. Sure, The Big Show is comparable in size, but the sheer legend of Andre puts him in his own category entirely. Even though The Giant is remembered fondly, that doesn't mean he didn't lose his composure on occasion, sometimes to his own detriment. In 1980, following an in-ring loss, Andre instructed a cameraman to stop filming what was happening. The event was not scheduled to be taped, but it's nonetheless unclear whether or not the big man was acting in character - one thing's for sure, cameraman Ben Hildebrand didn't enjoy what happened next. Putting Hildebrand in a headlock, Andre also damaged his camera, which was property of the KCRG-TV station. Found guilty of criminal mischief, the wrestler was ordered to pay $233 to fix the camera equipment, and a further fine of $100 was charged for putting his hands on the non-wrestler. No charges of assault were carried out, which is fortunate for Andre. Imagine being faced with an irate giant, and not knowing whether or not it was part of the show!
