4. 'Mania Madness For Flair
In 1992, WWF TV was governed by much the same rules as the WWE product is today, certainly when it comes to blood. Back in the early-90's, blood was a strict no-no, and Vince McMahon was thus left furious after two major incidents violated his policy at Wrestlemania VIII. The biggest show of the year is one the promotion desperately want to be perfect every time, but both Bret Hart and Ric Flair would blade on the event, adding some literal colour to proceedings. Incredibly, The Hitman would get away with his blood loss, later writing in his book that he and rival Roddy Piper pulled the wool over everyone's eyes backstage by decrying the crimson as an accident. Ever the centre of attention, Ric Flair wouldn't get off so lightly, and neither would his opponent in the WWF Title match, 'Macho Man' Randy Savage. Noticeably blading, Flair gushed all over the place, his bleach-blonde hair turning red within a few minutes of the cut. Fined several thousand dollars for the incident, Savage was also given quite the dressing down by an irate McMahon behind the curtain, and you have to wonder if it was worth it for both men.
