10 Stupidest Decisions By WWE In 2002

1. Money On The Table

Eric Bischoff's introduction as the new permanent General Manager of Raw on the July 15th 2002 edition of the show ranks as one of the most shocking moments in WWE history. Few expected to see Bischoff in a WWE ring, let alone hugging Vince McMahon and publicly bragging about all of his successes during the Monday Nigh Wars. Surreal doesn't even begin to describe it. But watching it back, you can't help but feel as though Vince and WWE blew a lot of money by introducing the Bisch in such cavalier style for what was essentially evil owner storyline number 2,940,302. He wasn't given a grand entrance, or really any build-up, just waltzing past Booker T during a backstage interview. The whole deal seemed rushed and, while good for shock value, there's no doubt that a lot of money could have been made had WWE chose to use Bischoff more effectively. Hell, they could have given the Invasion another go-around, or perhaps had Bischoff try and take down WWE from within or anything. While he was admittedly great in the role, Bischoff could have been used much more effectively, at least in the beginning.
