10 Stupidest Decisions By WWE In 2004

10. Triple H Is Better Than Booker T And The Dudleys Put Together

Triple H was the internet wrestling community's public enemy number one for much of the early 2000s. Accused of politicking and using his real-life relationship with the boss' daughter to get and then stay ahead, he wasn't very well liked in the WWE locker room, either. Booker T, Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam have all spoken out about The Game's shady practices over the years. There's no denying the fact that Triple H was pushed harder than pretty much everyone on Raw from 2002 onwards, even if his in-ring performances were a shadow of what they had been during his spectacular 2000/early 2001 run. Regardless of whether his body was falling apart under his increasingly muscular frame or not, The Cerebral Assassin was still the man on the red brand, a point WWE hammered home during the 2004 draft. The Game was drafted to Smackdown, something neither he nor Eric Bischoff wanted to happen. The Bisch was so determined not to lose his supposed top star (Chris Benoit was the World Champion but that's not important) that he offered Smackdown General Manager (Paul Heyman) both Booker T and The Dudley Boys in exchange for Triple H's safe return. Heyman accepted the deal and the message was clear: Triple H = 1 Booker T & 2 Dudleys. It only succeeding in devaluing the Dudleys and Booker as well as making a portion of the audience want to see Trips go away for good.
