Having performed as Goldust for a couple of years prior, Dustin Runnels emerged in 1997 as The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust (a reference to pop star Prince's then-new name). As "TAFKAG", Runnels would mimick celebrities and fellow wrestlers by appearing as characters such as "Chynadust", "Dust Lovedust", "Dustydust", "Hunterdust", "Flashdust", "Marilyn Mansondust", "Sabledust" and "Vaderdust". In this form, when he wasn't mimicking others, he sported an horrendous new look that included a green wig (with pink hair underneath), red and green facepaint, a green bodysuit with suggestively-placed accessories, studs and spikes, a ball-gag in his mouth and, at Christmas - as you can see from the picture above - a hell of a lot of tinsel. It's safe to say that the black and gold look that Runnels is better known for is far better.
