10 Stupidest Reasons Wrestlers Turned Heel

9. Dean Ambrose - Germs

The wrestling world was shocked when Dean Ambrose turned on Seth Rollins the same night Roman Reigns announced that he was battling against cancer. There, on the 22 October 2018 episode of Raw, the future (and former) Jon Moxley hammered his old Shield pal seemingly as revenge for his prior betrayal in 2014.

You'd think that'd be Deano's only motivation, but you'd be wrong. A few weeks later, he explained that he had to protect himself against the "illness" of Rollins, started wearing a gas mask (thus getting ahead of the game with what has since happened in real life) and social distanced himself as much as possible from everyone because he was worried about germs.

OK then.

Ambrose also got inoculated and said that The Shield's reunion had made him weak. Again, that second reason would've been fun enough to explore, but WWE wanted to write silly injection skits that annoyed Dean so much he decided to leave the company. Good work, guys.
