10 Stupidest Things WWE Superstars Have Done In 2021 (So Far)

2. Indi Hartwell Watches NXT But Has Never Seen A Hug

Triple H Dexter Lumis
WWE

One of the more charming NXT storylines of the last few years has stumbled into some plot holes of late, all in an effort to put off the inevitable coming together of Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell as the black-and-gold brand's star-crossed lovers.

Hartwell's sold the sh*t out of all of this magnificently, drawing forth a certain charisma from Lumis as the lovelorn oddball rather than the horror cosplayer he'd morphed into across 2020. Unfortunately, his platonic hug with the brand's semi-regular special guest Poppy was perhaps a stretch too far for one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions.

She'd gone to find Lumis because she'd seen him shed that single tear on last week's episode, but if she's actually watching the shows, why have any of these barriers existed? If Ross and Rachel saw the miscommunications, they wouldn't be miscommunications, and NXT have seemingly forgotten (or are just gleefully ignoring) this important detail. It'll be forgotten by the end, but this was a stretch too far from the show that tries harder than most WWE offerings not to insult your intelligence.
