10 Stupidest WWE Firings Ever

1. Drew McIntyre

In September 2009, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon appeared on Smackdown and proclaimed that Drew McIntyre was a future World Champion. Five years later, McIntyre was released to little fanfare. So what happened? Well, Drew got some heat when he and his ex-wife Taryn Terrell (Tiffany in WWE) got into some sort of argument at a hotel which was so bad that it led to her being arrested. Shortly after the incident she was fired and Drew took the heat for it because that's how the wrestling business works. McIntyre ended up getting a divorce and was never pushed as a singles wrestler again. Remember 3MB? They were a joke comedy group. What made Drew's 2014 firing stupid is that they gave up on this talented 30-year-old even though he had so much potential and could have been a main event performer. He's proven in TNA and on the indies since his release that he's supremely talented and could have been used so much better. Perhaps one day McIntyre will find his way back to WWE because they must realise he's talented and could be something special, but for now he remains one of WWE's stupidest firings ever.
