10 Stupidest WWE Firings Ever

5. Dawn Marie

Former ECW valet Dawn Marie showed up on Smackdown in 2002, where she feuded extensively with Torrie Wilson, acted as Paul Heyman's assistant and sent poor old Al Wilson to an early grave (RIP). She wasn't a vital part of the Smackdown roster, but she was a constant presence on TV and always seemed to have a feud going. Then, in the summer of 2005, WWE fired her because she had the temerity to get pregnant. Firing somebody because they get pregnant is really, really low and sets a bad precedent. From WWE's point of view, they probably figured she had little value left since she'd been on TV for close to three years and wasn't much of a wrestler. She'd already feuded with Torrie, Jackie Gayda and just about evey other diva on the roster, so what was there left for her to do? Still, that doesn't excuse letting her go while she was expecting. WWE could have waited until she'd had given birth before giving her her marching orders. It was a stupid firing, something WWE would be ripped apart for if they did it today (luckily for Rosa Mendez, they won't).
