10 Substitutions That Could Improve WWE Survivor Series 2021 Teams
5. Naomi Replaces Natalya
Natalya’s last appearance on WWE TV was a first-round loss in the Queen’s Crown Tournament on the 11 October 2021 RAW. Aliyah has yet to make an in-ring appearance since being called to SmackDown. Yet somehow, both managed to secure spots on Friday Night’s Survivor Series team ahead of a former two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion who has regularly featured on weekly television for the last three months.
This will most likely be used as the latest in an endless list of ploys by onscreen authority figure Sonya Deville to push Naomi to her breaking point, and will hopefully culminate with her landing a spot before the PPV arrives. In the meantime, however, the egregious oversight does more harm than good for a Blue Team looking to procure a victory. One also imagines that Deville wouldn’t dream of passing up the opportunity for a bait and switch, recruiting Naomi to the team only to string her along and humiliate her yet again with an early elimination.
The Deville is in the details, but Naomi needs on this team or SmackDown's at a disadvantage.
