10 Substitutions That Could Improve WWE Survivor Series 2021 Teams
4. AJ Styles Replaces Dominik Mysterio
How does WWE examine the current RAW roster and not see AJ Styles as one of the five best superstars without a title? You know, other than the 7-foot-4, 400-pound albatross around his neck?
After a couple weeks of speculation surrounding his largely unexplained absence, AJ Styles has returned to Monday nights and as it stands, has no plans for Survivor Series. This is near inconceivable as Styles has graced nearly every Survivor Series with his presence (He missed the 2018 edition, but only after losing the WWE Championship on the SmackDown before the PPV) either as a team captain, defending WWE Champion or defending United States Champion.
As Styles himself could tell you, the card is subject to change at any time. Since Dominik Mysterio has already surrendered his own spot to Bobby Lashley, an ideal scenario would see Rey defend his spot against 'The Phenomenal One' on the final RAW before the PPV and Styles steal the final position alongside captain Rollins and fellow former Bullet Club leader Finn Bálor among others.
Besides, WWE can't resist a 'David versus Goliath' story, and if they insist on keeping Styles saddled to his 'Personal Colossus', the contrast doesn't get much more stark than Rey Mysterio Vs. Omos.
