10 Substitutions That Could Improve WWE Survivor Series 2021 Teams

2. Sheamus Replaces Happy Corbin

At Survivor Series 2016, a storyline injury resulted in the best version of Baron Corbin regrettably being replaced on Team SmackDown by Shane McMahon. Five years later, a spot on Team SmackDown that could have gone to The Celtic Warrior, set to return from injury at any moment, has been filled by the worst version of Baron Corbin.

While the shift to Happy Corbin was initially a promising payoff to the desperate, street urchin Corbin gimmick, it has slowly become excruciating. The addition of sidekick Madcap Moss and his list of pedestrian jokes that Vince McMahon heard for the first time last week has made the former Lone Wolf nearly unwatchable. Precious minutes of television melt away as Corbin and Moss channel their inner hyena over the "Tuba Toothpaste" playing symphonies in the bathroom.

It's time to literally and figuratively raise 'The Bar'.

Reuniting five-time tag team champions Sheamus and Cesaro on a squad captained by Drew McIntyre would provide an impenetrable fortress of power and brute strength to complement the speed and agility of Ricochet and Zayn, counter opposing bruisers Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley on Team RAW and set the stage for seldom-seen showdowns with Rollins, Balor and Styles.
