10 Superstars Kurt Angle Needs To Face Before He Retires

9. Cesaro

Cesaro is widely regarded as one of the best in-ring talents in WWE today. Granted, he€™s massively underutilized (and also currently on the shelf), but the Swiss Superman is an absolute freak of nature when it comes to the things that he does inside the ring. Pairing him up against Kurt Angle would have the purists purring in anticipation as their collective pants slowly tighten. Angle made a name for himself with a whip-quick mat-based approach that relied on technical prowess, ring awareness, knowledge of reversals, suplexes, and a strong submission game. Cesaro really isn€™t a million miles from that style, except his is a little more of a power-based one mixed with a bit more flying, too. These two would be a match made in heaven. Given ten minutes, Cesaro can make anybody look good, so imagine what he and Angle could do with say, fifteen or twenty? With Kurt Angle, he€™s one of those greats who gets the old €˜he could have a great match with a broom€™ label regularly placed on them, meaning that it would be absolutely impossible for these two to have a bad match together. Seriously, if Kurt Angle and Cesaro had a bad match together, it would mean that either the end of the world is nigh or wrestling would have to be cancelled for a little bit while we figured out what was wrong with it.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main dayjob, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
