Bigelow is arguably most memorably known for his work for both ECW and WCW but he did have two stints with the McMahon's WWE. Bam Bam first signed with WWE in 1987 and left less than a year later. He would return in 1992 after spells with Jim Crockett's promotion and in Japan. He would last three years before joining ECW. During his first stint he was put in a position that saw many of the heel managers vying for his signature, 'The Battle for Bam Bam'. The 26-year-old Bigelow was even part of Hulk Hogan's Survivor Series team, lasting longer than The Hulkster managed to. A severe knee injury put an end to his first WWE stint before he returned for a second stint, this time as a heel. He defeated The Big Boss Man at the Royal Rumble as he looked to be making a bigger impression than he did first time round. He lost the final of 1993's King of the Ring tournament to Bret Hart. He would develop a love interest in Luna and the pair would face Doink and Dink the clowns at WrestleMania X. A year later, Bam Bam faced ex-American footballer Lawrence Taylor in the main event of WrestleMania XI. The Beast from the East would have a feud with Ted DiBiase before leaving WWE. He was rumoured to have had backstage issues with The Kliq.
