10 Superstars Who'd Benefit From A Return Of The World Heavyweight Championship

1. Cesaro

Just because Cesaro is out injured right now doesn't mean he would be going after the WWE World Heavyweight Championship if he was active. Reportedly, he impressed Vince McMahon with his recent outing against Roman Reigns, but if he wasn't in the main event scene before when he was hot, there's no way he would be now. That's not a knock on his talent but rather the stunning lack of opportunities he's been given to shine over the years. Every time it appeared he was coming close to capturing the attention of officials, they'd pull the rug from underneath him. There's no reason why he shouldn't have won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at least once by now, but if nothing else, no one would benefit more from the World Heavyweight Championship returning than him. That belt was made for Superstars such as him, who aren't allotted chances to compete at a top-tier level on the flagship show but could showcase their skills on SmackDown. A run with the world title could very well lead to him holding the WWE Championship down the line similar to Daniel Bryan and CM Punk as well. The chances of the World Heavyweight Championship ever being reinstated are slim to none, but Cesaro is a prime example of someone who would clearly be better off if it were brought back.
