10 Superstars Who Gained The Most From WWE's Wellness Policy
6. Seth Rollins
There have been reports that WWE was aware of Roman Reigns' Wellness violation prior to last Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Given the way events unfolded that night, those reports are probably true. It was bad news for Reigns, but good news for Seth Rollins.
WWE needed to get the WWE World Heavyweight Championship off of Roman Reigns while also creating a reason why he would not be on television for several weeks to promote a seemingly inevitable rematch. Creative needed an excuse to delay what would otherwise be an automatic rematch. Enter Seth Rollins and (spoiler alert for later in this list) Dean Ambrose.
It wasn't enough to have Rollins beat Reigns or Ambrose cash in. It had to be both so that for now, the focus can be on Rollins getting his rematch against Ambrose while Reigns serves his suspension. As a result, Rollins got a second WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign.
It may be brief, but world title reigns are tough to come by and this second reign will always be a part of Rollins' career total. More than that, Rollins will enjoy some much needed one-on-one feud time with Ambrose as the former solidifies his place in the main event after returning from injury.
