10 Superstars Who Will Leave WWE In 2017
1. Cesaro
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Cesaro is never going to become a world champ in WWE. He’s a firmly established mid-carder that Vince McMahon just doesn’t quite seem to get the appeal of. Several times in the past it looked like he was getting close to breaking the glass ceiling, only to be shuffled back down the card. That has to wear on one's psyche.
Hardcore fans love Cesaro, as they realize that in the ring he’s one of the most technically sound wrestlers on the planet. But he doesn’t seem to have the promo ability that Vince looks for in a top star, which will likely keep him in the upper mid-card throughout the rest of his run. No more. No less.
Cesaro has also been vocal about his displeasure with his push, as he firmly believes that he deserves bigger opportunities. At this point, he may look elsewhere in 2017 and take on a Cody Rhodes-like schedule, working wherever he wants for good money, and getting to be treated like a star wherever he goes. Perhaps if TNA gets their finances in order with the new ownership, they could offer him a big money deal to bring him on-board. Otherwise, the rest of the world would love to have him.
If Cesaro's goal is to be a main event star in a wrestling promotion, WWE will likely not ever be the place to make that a reality.
