The Big Show is one of the longest tenured wrestlers on the main roster, and has given over fifteen years to the WWE. Hes always been a good soldier, and does whatever WWE asks of him whether its being a monster, a comedy character or an obstacle for a new star to look impressive in defeating. In there lies the problem, WWE wants so much from Big Show that fans have stopped caring about him. It doesnt matter what Big Show does, and theres no point in investing in his character because hell be something else doing something new in three months or so. Earlier this year, Big Show sparked a mini-international incident when he disrespected the Russian flag, tearing it down and tossing it aside. WWE quickly covered their tracks by issuing an online apology, and forcing Big Show to apologise on air. This only diluted the Big Shows character further, as he came across as weaker in his convictions than Rusev and Lana are in theirs. Fans lost interest in the Rusev v Big Show feud, because Show couldnt believably be the American hero the story needed him to be. When Big Show turned heel on John Cena at Survivor Series, few people were surprised because thats what he does now. His legacy will be that of an indecisive flip-flopper, which is hardly the legacy a seven-foot giant deserves to have.
