10 Surprising Cameos By WWE Wrestlers In Cartoons

5. Roddy Piper - Adventure Time

Unlike many of his wrestling peers, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper had a legitimately successful movie career to his name in the '80s, with starring roles in both They Live and Hell Comes To Frogtown.

Despite his success on the big screen, Piper spent the '90s dedicated to TV acting roles, while still wrestling for both WWF and WCW as well. However, in his later years, 'The Rowdy Scot' also began to do voice over work and, in 2014, made an appearance in the bizarre yet hugely popular cartoon, Adventure Time.

With a name like 'Hot Rod', it's only fitting that Piper plays the role of Don John the Flame Lord. As Don John, Piper helps the Flame King to dethrone the Flame Princess in return for her hand in marriage. When Don John doesn't get the girl, it all kicks off and Don John proceeds to throw hands with the Flame King.

If that all sounds a little odd, it's probably because it is. Despite being aimed at children, Adventure Time has a cult following amongst adults, particularly amongst the 'stoner' set. With Piper's reputation as a madcap wildman with a well-documented history in chemical goodies, his appearance fits right in.
