7. Terry Taylor Once Gave Him Some Brutal Advice About WCW

The politics, lack of leadership, and general chaos behind the scenes of WCW has been well-documented over the years. But never before has one quote summed up the mentality of WCW management in a more depressing way than the advice given to Brookside by one of WCW's agents, Terry Taylor. According to a recent interview on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, Brookside claims he was asked to carry a green Power Plant graduate through his first professional match. Despite numerous limitations, Robbie was able to put together an entertaining match with the awkward rookie. When he came through the curtain, Taylor pulled Brookside to one side and told him: "Your timing is first-class. Your charisma is second to none. Your wrestling ability is unbelievable, and your performance is also first-class. Therefore, you have absolutely no future with this wrestling company". Brookside described this as "one of the nicest things anyone ever said to me" and he respected Taylor's honesty before departing WCW for good. The two remained friends and are now colleagues at the WWE Performance Center, where Brookside does have a future.
