Owens was again diplomatic in his assessment, but his disappointment that the payoff to his outstanding 'Festival Of Friendship' turn on Chris Jericho wasn't for a more coveted title was plainly apparent.

The bulk of the instantly classic Raw segment was replayed as Owens made mention of Chris Jericho's absolutely incredible performance throughout. A credit to the storyline and his co-worker, Jericho is deservedly lauded for his work in the segment ahead of the deeply upsetting sh*t-kicking he received at its conclusion.

Jericho's return from the assault weeks later played a crucial part in getting the pair to WrestleMania, but Owens' aforementioned loss of the Universal Title to Bill Goldberg thanks to a 'Y2J' distraction was effectively the peak of their rivalry.

Despite contributing hours of entertainment to the product over the preceding year, the two were served a consolation prize in the form of the United States Title Jericho had liberated from Roman Reigns during happier times for the former 'best friends'.

It was their WrestleMania match that ultimately triggered the most shocking moment of WWE's latest behind-the-curtain profile.
