10 Surprising Things We Learned From 'WWE 365: Kevin Owens'

Kevin Owens Vince McMahon
WWE Network

During conversation with her 'Ride Along' road buddy Bayley during a recent episode of the WWE Network hit, Sasha Banks declared with genuine affection her pleasure in wrestling on a No Mercy card. It wasn't just about the match, or the opponent, or even the result (that didn't go her way), but the fact she considered herself further woven into WWE's history thanks to making up the numbers on a show with a relatively creditable lineage.

She would feel that way though - she's a self-confessed wrestling fanatic. The type of mega-fan the company wouldn't have gone near in times gone by for being too much of a 'mark', before realising that future generations of performers were virtually guaranteed to have expressed some interest as a supporter as inspiration to train in the first place.

It perhaps explains why, after another deeply disappointing supercard showing, Kevin Owens found so much solace in the emojis and emotions of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sending a thumb pointing up rather than a traditional middle finger, 'The Rattlesnake's approval offered 'KO' some mental stability he was desperately craving after yet again misreading relations with Vince McMahon.

Unable to put stock in himself thanks to McMahon's Machiavellian mental manipulation, Stone Cold's unexpected outreach was in that moment, sweet solace.
