But this was the main event at Wrestlemania XII. We all expected this match to be great it was Shawn versus Bret, a dramatic showdown between the top two babyfaces in the company. But we didnt expect 60 minutes to fly by without a single pinfall or submission. And then, the kicker (pun intended) Bret wasnt off the hook. Hart fans were shocked and angry; it felt like a biased, arbitrary decision against the Excellence of Execution, and it foreshadowed the screwjob that would take place in Montreal a little over a year later.
