Until very recently, Bill DeMott was regarded as nothing more controversial than a tough-talking (but highly respected) trainer with the WWE's developmental territory, as well as a competent worker during his career with WCW. However, recent allegations have emerged from various trainees accusing him of racism, homophobia, bullying, and physical abuse, causing an extensive social media backlash and external pressure. Some recognisable names who have stepped forward to condemn DeMott include Curt Hawkins (a former member of Edge's 'Edgeheads' stable alongside Zack Ryder), Dolph Ziggler's brother Ryan Nemeth, and current TNA main-eventer Ethan Carter III. He resigned earlier this year.
