8. The Ascension
Hear me out here, please. Seriously.
Remember when The Ascension first debuted in NXT a few years back? How awesome were they at that point?
Granted, since then Cameron (TNA’s Bram) has long left the WWE umbrella and the team has had its share of ups and downs, but there’s still a chance that The Ascension can be saved.
Yes, Cameron has been replaced by Viktor and the music, entrance and overall package has been tweaked slightly, but it doesn’t seem like a completely impossible task to revert back to what was good about The Ascension in the first place.
The fact that the team became the most dominant team in NXT in its current iteration shows what promise there is in Konnor and Viktor. Since coming up to the main roster they’ve been used horribly, but if they were to go back to their NXT roots then they could be a major attraction of the current tag team product, much like how The Brood were during the Attitude Era.
