Key to the recent popularity of tag team wrestling is the work that Cesaro and Tyson Kidd put in.

Thrown together because creative had "nothing for them", Cesaro and Kidd worked together to create an innovative tag team that focused on many of the once-sacred fundamentals of tag team wrestling. That all came to a crashing halt when Tyson sadly suffered a serious injury and now he finds himself on the shelf for the foreseeable future.

It looked for the briefest of brief moments that Cesaro may finally get a strong singles push, although that now seems like a pipe dream. As such, The Masters of the WWE Universe (yes, it’s still a horrible name) are a tag team that the WWE could base a division around if Kidd heals up well and the company chooses to put them back together.

Rarely have two individuals randomly thrown together made so much of their situation. If (or hopefully when) Tyson Kidd is ready to come back, this duo is one that could be an all-time great and a team that could (and one has to hope will) be a key part of any tag team revolution.
