Many an old school wrestling fan has been championing the cause of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder as of late. Hell, even Edge – one of the most successful tag team wrestlers of all time - gave them props during his recent appearance alongside Christian on the Stone Cold Podcast.

Collectively known as The Mechanics, the twosome hark back to tag teams of old in the way that they approach their opponents and the psychology they use. Simply put, the two get tag team wrestling.

Whether it’s cutting off the ring, collective continuity in attacking body parts or the no frills tactics used, Dawson and Wilder are the embodiment of what a team should be: not two individuals, but a group assault.

Then there’s the classic jackets that the pair wear to the ring, which only further draw comparisons to The Brainbusters – never a bad duo to be likened to.
