10 Teams Who Could Win The AEW Trios Titles From Death Triangle

SoCal Uncensored were AEW’s first ever tag team champions but so much has been compressed into three years that they now feel like a footnote in company history. The trio was formed in ROH and held that promotion’s six man tag belts but they peaked as unit before AEW existed.

Each of them has struggled to really establish themselves outside of the group as well. Christopher Daniels is too broken down to compete at his old high level, Frankie Kazarian’s promising “Elite Hunter” gimmick was squashed at the first Luke Gallows-shaped hurdle, and Scorpio Sky has failed to get over to the level once expected of him, despite a TNT Title run.

Getting the band back together for one last glory run with the Trios Titles would benefit all three. Daniels wouldn’t have to carry too much weight in a trios match but the veteran would be perfect to elicit sympathy before the hot tag. Kazarian would be able to rehabilitate his character and an SCU reunion would be the perfect opportunity to relaunch Scorpio Sky in the babyface role he excels at.
