10 Terrible Wrestling Storylines With Great Matches

4. CM Punk Vs. Triple H

Not since the halcyon days of the Attitude Era has WWE had a three-month stretch quite as exciting as 2011's Summer of Punk. It would have been perfect, too, had it not been for the bizarre intervention from Kevin Nash.

After surprising the Straight Edge Superstar with an attack at SummerSlam, Nash spent the next few weeks keeping us all guessing. Just who had sent that text to him instructing him to beat up the new WWE Champion?

We later learned that it was, wait for it, none other than Big Sexy himself, who apparently commandeered Triple H's phone for reasons still unknown to anyone not named Vince McMahon.

It appears what really happened here is that Nash was ruled unable to compete at the upcoming Night of Champions, and the plans were in turn changed at the last minute. Instead, we got CM Punk and Triple H, who - for two sworn enemies - pulled off an excellent 25-minute bout (albeit one from which the wrong man emerged with victory).
