10 Terrible Wrestling Storylines With Great Matches

3. Rey Mysterio Vs. Eddie Guerrero

It was virtually impossible for Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero to get into the ring together and not produce, at the very least, a four star match.

It was, however, perfectly possible for them to produce the odd moment of cringe - a point capably illustrated by the unedifying custody battle storyline in which they both became embroiled during the summer of 2005.

For those blissfully unfamiliar with all of the ins and outs, this angle essentially involved Eddie claiming that he was, in fact, the paternal father of Rey's son Dominick (played on-screen by his real-life kid son Dominick - which must have been confusing).

Things came to a head at SummerSlam, when the pair met in a ladder match. Hanging above the ring were documents which guaranteed custody rights to whichever man retrieved them first.

However dumb the object hanging above the ring, though, this was a show-stealing bout, only slightly ruined by the now infamous fourth wall break from Latino Heat, who would berate wife Vickie for missing her cue.
