10 Terrible Wrestling Storylines With Great Matches

Of all the dumb TNA storylines, the whole Claire Lynch thing was perhaps the worst - not least of all because it involved AJ Styles, a man who unlike any other embodied what the company was (or was supposed to be) all about.

It began when Christopher Daniels ostensibly exposed an affair between wholesome family man AJ and TNA president Dixie Carter. That, so we would later learn, was wide of the mark - instead the pair were caught up in the private life of Claire Lynch, a perennially pregnant extra.

Lynch would then undermine AJ's efforts to go about his normal life by claiming that the Phenomenal One was, in fact, the father of his baby (this, we were supposed to care about, despite having only just been introduced to her a few weeks earlier).

In the end, TNA actually pulled the Lynch character from TV after some overzealous fans began sending the actress abuse for her part in one of wrestling's dumbest ever storylines. Oh, and then AJ and Daniels fought an incredible Last Man Standing bout at Destination X - at least one good thing came of it.
