...is also saved by Triple H!

The pair had just headlined a Berlin house show just days removed from Austin dethrone Hunter's longtime friend Shawn Michaels as WWE champion when the kayfabe rivalry had to be put to bed due to a very real threat.

Austin was laying down selling the physical toll of his hard-fought victory when the ringsider struck, appearing to dive on top of 'The Rattlesnake' before the new D-Generation X leader was just as quick in neutralising the intruder. First grabbing the fan in a tight waist lock, Hunter throws him hard to the canvas and wails on him with right hands. Referee Mike Chioda quickly involves himself, adding kicks as the fan seemingly flails to defend himself and/or fight back.

It takes much, much longer than it should for security or other staff to arrive on the scene and help deal with the situation, resulting in the bizarre sight of Hunter and Chioda attempting to pound the guy into keeping still as 'The Toughest S.O.B' wisely keeps out of the way completely.
