10 Terrifying Wrestling Bumps You've Totally Forgotten

9. Sammy Guevara Accidentally Bludgeons Matt Hardy...

...before Hardy almost met a frightening end on pay-per-view.

The cursed Matt Hardy/Sammy Guevara programme was one of the few cases of 2020 actually feeling like 2020 during an AEW product that otherwise aimed to save the wretched soul of pro wrestling one week at a time.

Leaning into the empty arena conditions and the fear and loathing that enveloped most of the watching world, All Elite Wrestling remained a vision of thought, heart and earnest creativity. Apart from segments featuring these two, where everything constantly got worse before it even had the chance to get better.

It's why nobody talks about the violent chairshot that saw Hardy suffer one of the vilest gushers in the history of a company not afraid to spill some blood. This was terrifying, but not as terrifying as the fall Hardy took in their All Out pay-per-view stinker. One flagged significant concerns about AEW's safety protocols. The other faded into insignificance.
