10 "Then Versus Now" WWE Dream Matches

7. The Undertaker Vs. Bruno Sammartino

Admittedly, this one's a little out of left field, but the idea of WWE's greatest hero versus its most intimidating presence is too tantalising to ignore.

Sammartino, who was a superstar in WWE's home of New York during the days when many babyfaces were geared to appeal to specific ethnic and immigrant populations, reigned as champion from 1963 to 1971, and again from 1973 to 1977.

He sold out Madison Square Garden myriad times, and the fans were enamoured with the babyface strongman.

Just imagine The Undertaker, in full regalia, entering MSG in the '70s to take on the Living Legend. The fans would be terrified, maybe even in tears. They'd only be more afraid when The Phenom sat up after Bruno's power-based offense and came back with a chokeslam or the "old school" ropewalk.

Even if the bout were to take place today, Bruno's strength and charisma would undoubtedly win fans over - and a challenged Undertaker would continue to defy time to claim yet another victim.
