10 "Then Versus Now" WWE Dream Matches
2. Samoa Joe Vs. The Rock
The Rock is many things - wrestler, actor, producer, role model, guru, and superstar. He's also a total badass. Even though he was more famous during his wrestling career for clever put-downs and the theatrical People's Elbow, his character was defined for his refusal to back down from a fight and the ease with which he dispatched his opponents.
That "never back down" attitude gave The Rock good chemistry with monster heels (just think back to the Brock Lesnar match at SummerSlam 2002), and it would serve him well in a battle with the company's freshest badass, NXT Champion Samoa Joe.
Though a Joe-Rock program would likely consist of hilarious promos at Joe's expense, once the bell rang, there'd be no joking around.
Both men would start hot from the opening bell, with Joe's viciousness and propensity to bend the rules giving him an early berth. Ultimately, though, The Rock would make a comeback, and the flying jabs and slaps between both men would create an amazing visual that would eventually lead to an incredible finishing sequence.
Like Sasha Banks versus Trish Stratus, this match is actually possible. Let's hope that we get to see it someday.
