10 Things All Wrestling Fans Thought As Kids

1. Thinking It Was 100% Real

Perhaps best of all, you really believed that professional wrestling was real as a kid. Yes, there was something about it which didn't quite sit right - how there were subtle moments of repositioning, if one of the guys needed to be at a certain spot in the ring, and some matches seemed more like a dance than others. Crucially, that didn't really matter, because it was awesome. Kids really bought into the idea of these people hating one another, wanting to fight, and the idea that life is full of nothing but 'good guys' and 'bad guys'. It was a product like no other, like cartoons come to life, and that's what made it so appealing. Wrestlers were who they said they were, and millions of children grew up wishing they could be like their heroes. When worded like that, it's an inspiring business, and one which deserves a lot of praise for the countless hours of magical memories it has provided to so many people worldwide. What awesome memories do you have of wrestling as a kid? Is it still real to you (dammit)? Let us know down in the comments section below!
