NXT entered uncharted territory in 2015 by bringing in wrestlers who were not technically under a WWE Developmental contract, ending years of policy that the only wrestlers in WWE had to be under exclusive contracts. Wrestlers like James Storm, Johnny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, and even female wrestlers like Leva Bates (Blue Pants) got significant television time without being under WWE contract. WWE should continue this practice in 2016, perhaps even bringing in wrestlers from Ring of Honor like Jay Lethal, Adam Cole, The Briscoe Brothers, the Young Bucks, and AJ Styles. It'll make for a better wrestling program, as WWE has seemingly copied the independent wrestling formula for NXT.
