5. He's Angry About Almost Missing His Friend's Wedding

Punk tells a story about a friend of his getting married. He gave the company eight months notice that he would not be available on the date in December, and Michael Hayes told him it was a pay-per-view. Punk told everyone including Vince and Triple H that he was not going to be there and not to book him, and every week he was still on the calendar despite reminding them constantly. They had him booked to wrestle The Shield 3 vs.1 and he fought against it the entire way. Vince appealed to Punk that he really needed him so Punk had them rearrange the card so that he and AJ could go on early and catch a flight out to California for the wedding. He arrived at the tail end of the festivities and had to get on a plane and fly right back. He's still very resentful of this and cites it as an example of the constant pushback that he had to deal with when asking for simple courtesies.
