10 Things CM Punk Wants You To Forget About WWE

4. That WWE Put Up With His Arrogance

Following on from the previous point, Phil Brooks is someone who has quite the attitude. Far from being 100% a negative, it has actually stood the man in good stead over the years, and his hard-headed personality is entirely natural - the fact that CM Punk is drenched in reality appeals to many people, there's no falseness in it. That much is fine, but WWE haven't always enjoyed Punk's overall view on things. Whilst World Heavyweight Champion in 2009, the man disregarded suggestions from The Undertaker that he start dressing like a more traditional wrestling champion. Quite clearly, tradition is something Punk has little time for, infamously also being pretty outspoken during his time in WWE's developmental system when various legends were called in for seminars. As someone who believes in forging his own path, CM Punk angered many in the industry by blatantly ignoring 'Taker's polite proposition. In fairness, the idea of a World Champion having to continually wear a suit and tie is pretty outdated, but Punk came across as pretty arrogant when pointing out that if The Undertaker was exempt from this rule, so was he.
